The UK is not part of Europe. ;-) But yeah, if you've got the money to take care of yourself, you'll have to pay it. My grandparents had a low-enough income that the care takers (twice a day) were free for them.

There is intensive care in Germany but it's mostly done in clinics. Although it seems that sometimes it seems like that can be done at home, too.

Another day, another horror story about the American health & care system. I'm just speechless about all of that at this point and very glad the I live in Europe, where we have things like these figured out. (edit: yeeeeaaaaaah, no

ESP32s are _sick_! I've only been building things with Arduino Uno/Nano/Mega (clones) so far and they are kind of limited. Those ESP32 I've now got seem to have _everything_ onboard: lots of IO pins, hardware PWM (althou

I'm running Nextcloud on a shared webhosting and have mounted a Hetzner storage box as external storage into it. That comes down to around 7 €/month for hosting costs, which I find fair. I'm using the Nextcloud Android client

You know where this leads to? Unrepairable devices. Afaik you can not change a BMW headlight yourself, because it has a little chip inside to identify the part. If your car electronics does not find the headlight serial number it's loo
