Is it just me , or does a genuinely useful product directed toward an under-served market with lots of money to spend provide no evidence of a bubble whatsoever? Xobni saves me time and makes my work life easier almost every day. No matter

The enterprise market is: (a) mind-blowingly huge; (b) totally accustomed to paying serious money for software; (c) almost universally dependent on the Microsoft stack for supporting end users, and that means Outlook for optimal integrati

"What does your organization do?" This is a terrible question. No sane employer would hire somebody who can't be bothered to spend two minutes skimming the company's web site before the interview.

Another consideration is the availability of software. There aren't that many things the average home user does on the computer -- word processing, web browsing, music, digital photography -- and all of those needs are served quite well o

It may be worth noting that other well-established companies like Your Man In India have been offering remote personal assistant services for some time. Timothy Ferriss' "The 4-Hour Work Week" has an entire chapter on how to outsource your

FYI, GrandCentral's concept isn't at all original. Other companies, like uReach.com, have had similar offerings (often called "Follow Me") for many years. But they're probably the first to offer it for free, and definitely the first to offe

It could be done this way, but frankly, Abiword's Word importer isn't very good. OpenOffice's, while not perfect, is much better. Unfortunately, unlike Abiword, OOo doesn't come with a nice command-line utility for doing those conversions.

Of course, but just taking PPT and porting it to the web feature for feature would be pretty silly. The reason I always thought Zenter was a shoo-in was that there were obvious great, monetizable things they could do with presentations that

Right. I've always wondered about Apple's reasoning for releasing Safari to begin with. If their goal was to decrease IE's market share, I'd think they would've put their browser R&D dollars into Firefox and helped to build a single, truly

1GB might be enough RAM if you don't use Parallels, but with Parallels, forget it. Running Windows XP with less than 1GB RAM while trying to do anything intensive is torture, and running Visual Studio certain qualifies. So you'd probably ne

And perhaps remove the religious info from the "Company" page ( http://juwo.com/company.html) -- it strikes me as unprofessional and out of place. You're entitled to your beliefs, but I can't see what you have to gain by advertising them o
