So refactor the code when you find yourself needing that separation. You'll find yourself with a much more understandable code base. You can still have the separation of duties that you describe because, in the case of web app dev, HTM

I guess this works well for body shops (though I'm not sure that body shops work well for anyone), but I've never seen this theory play out well in practice. Often I find it the other way round. You hire an Angular expert and, if

Every now and again I give Fish a try, think how great it is, and then try to do something like `sudo !!` and give up in a fit of rage. I understand the desire to avoid using the special chars but the alternative (using the cursor keys) is

Surely the pragmatic user who wants to get stuff done is the power user. You take the effort to learn the advanced stuff because you want the shell to get out of your way.

I like the "next step" at the end of the documentation. Continue by ignoring this document and complaining about a joke that you don't think is very funny with Contributing Bug Reports.

I wasn't trying to attack the OP. I was offering my interpretation of his comment along with the opinion that maybe being chivalrous doesn't make him a bad person. It might just be that he was brought up to believe that it's

I think it was a sexual comment, or it may have been a gesture. It was a long time ago now, so I can't really remember. As far as I'm concerned, her reaction was justified whatever the context. If she'd had a different reacti

My interpretation of the GP's comment was that he believes the man in the article was simply treating the author with the same common courtesy he treats all women with. My parents' generation used to call this "being a gentle

You remind me of a time when one of my colleagues made a somewhat ribald comment, and my other colleague - the only woman in the room (whom, by the way, we treated in the way the author would have approved: as one of us) - reminded him that

It's nice that JS devs are continuing to discover functional programming techniques, but it irks me a little that this is considered to be some sort of new development. JS has always attracted SICP-inspired programmers because of its s

Not having any experience with orthodox Judaism, it's hard to put those passages into context. It's rather hard to decide what to make of that page. It seems to have an agenda, though I'm not sure I understand what it is.
