I think this attitude is holding FOSS back. The most successful projects are the ones that are funded: Linux, Blender, and Ubuntu to name 3. On the other hand we have projects like Gimp, which steadily makes excellent progress and gets bet

I agree that labeling people as racist or sexist for being caught out by shifting norms is not productive, but at the same time people need to put effort into empathizing with others and educating themselves. Maybe th

I broadly agree with what you're saying. I think both cases could be argued as constitutional because they both protect sovereignty in different ways: the right to privacy protects you in your own home, the right to gather intelligenc

Syria is not a good example for you to pick. She borders Iraq, a place where the US absolutely and directly interfered with catastrophic consequences. The uprising described in the Wikipedia article was a part of the "Arab Spring&quo

I'm really not trying to be pedantic, but that's not true. The UK has no written constitution but it does have a constitution. It's important to make the distinction because it is entirely possible that this proposal is

Well, actually no, the author is right. You are paid to deliver results, be it adding new features, processing data, making widgets or whatever. The business really doesn't care how you do that. Obviously you do write code in the co
