Sounds interesting. Only problem is your site is quite difficult to use on a mobile. Will bookmark and view later on a desktop though.

This is such a shame. Having used the OSM data to generate our own tiles. It takes a lot of time and resource to manage them well (let alone updating the OSM data) I understand it must be tough to provide such a service at low cost. Hopeful

I try to stay away from databases run by other companies, for this reason. Seems to be safer to run my own and block access than the convenience of db as a service. Obviously if you don't have the experience in this, your susceptible t

We scale based on load, so rather then having dedicated boxes being unused during quiet times we can scale our infrastructure down and then up when we need to. Going to a hybrid platform maybe in the future

Having used rackspace for the past 5 years, I'm happy to see some more performance machines in the cloud. We have quite a CPU intensive infrastructure so will be benchmarking the new performance servers against themselves to see if it

I've had 3 kids and juggling work, family and hobbies is a challenge. I tend not to think about work out of hours (unless overtime / something crashes during the night) I work on my hobbies 2/3 nights a week (about 6-9 hours
