Mark from Catalyze. We picked non-commercial as the CC license type simply so that people wouldn't modify and then resell the documentation itself. From my understanding, the license allows users to use our docs for your company polici

Someone recently asked me what country our company that had an .io domain was located in. Explaining that it was shorthand for input/output and that it was a tech thing was lost on them.

Many of our customers do (I work in HIPAA-compliant hosting), so I can tell you it's an alive and well thing. Many forms of patient data don't really fit well into relational data structures, so it's not surprising that Mongo

Agreed. Anyone that you choose for HIPAA-compliant hosting should be able to outline their policies. Where I work at Catalyze, ours are here: https://catalyze.io/hipaa/ https://catalyze.io/policy/

Where I work at Catalyze, we offer a starting package beginning at $500/mo that includes one database container and one server. Or, if your application only required a secure backend, prices start as cheap as $100/month. We have a

I used to work at Epic. I don't think that we had shills. I think we had more farmers employed than marketing staff when I was there, honestly. All jokes aside, I think the passing of the ACA has changed things drastically. With insura

This is actually my #1 problem with Quora too. I try to write a lot of pragmatic questions to answers, mostly because I like the idea of helping folks. Unless I'm totally in left field, I feel like I'd like some acknowledgment tha

If you're looking for someone that provides the database component with the ability to upgrade to moving your entire stack to the cloud, Catalyze has both BaaS and PaaS offerings. I think HIPAA-BaaS are great products to get storing PH

I think the tricky thing about Allscripts is that it doesn't have a sole, dedicated patient portal like Epic does (which is where the healthkit integration is). Old Allscripts customers are using Medfusion, newer customers are using Ja

I'm always really impressed by the detail put into Rdio. Dragging a song allows me to drag it into a playlist or to share it with friends. In HTML5/Javascript? That's pretty rad. Spotify feels way too much like iTunes to me.
