Could you also add "Deploy Your Own Firebase"? Our project ( https://github.com/amark/gun ) gets 1M+ downloads a month and can be self-hosted easily with a 1-click deploy into production. Will try to make a P

Um, no, this is not impossible, us editor folks have been inserting 0-width space after the tag and selecting it for years. The team the size of Slack should/could have easily worked around that.

This is all moving to the browser itself. Or an extension, thereof. So it isn't a "server" that is running that a webapp talks to, instead, it is that the webapp talks to your "localhost" or similar (browser extensi

:D glad to know some HNers are fan! Yeah, absolutely. Tho DAT is one of the better ones. Do you need mutability? That is probably the biggest differentiator. Either way, you should come chat about it on http://chat.gun.eco/

I like the phrasing "Mergeable Data" over CRDTs (I've been on the CRDT bandwagon for years now, with https://github.com/amark/gun ). Probably worth it as an industry of we shift language to "Mergeab

Huh, this would be pretty cool. BrowserFS seems to even have Dropbox etc. backends, and GUN already has a NodeJS `fs` adapter, so could theoretical could seamlessly swap BrowserFS in for fs and get GUN backed up to Dropbox!!!
