On topic 1 I was thinking to myself the other day, "I wonder if I can create a static webpage that isn't some sort of SPA or web app." It took me time to work out where to start... Once you think it through you realise it is

Zero to me too and thank goodness actually. I received a proper salary instead which worked out a lot better in the end.

You should see South Africa. It is more of a stampede. Everyone I know has either left or is trying. Literally ten out of the twelve friends I have are either in UK, Aus or US. The ones still in ZA are clammering to get out.

I think a lot of people are missing the point. A higher demand for hydrogen will incentivise companies to improve the production methods for hydrogen, hopefully with a more conscious effort to keep it green, i.e. Improving electrolysis meth

Nerdwriter on YT is pretty decent if you looking for a channel with a focus on art. Unsurprisingly I see it all over these comments but another shout out for 3blue1brown.

I just spent some time driving in the Italian countryside. Dreadful if you are used to relatively newer infrastructure, but the people that are used to it don't seem to have an issue! It was terrifying.

I made a colourful ASCII birthday cake in Pascal that beeped happy birthday at that age. Still one of my proudest programming moments.

I'm 31 and my lower back has started hurting and giving me issues, especially while sleeping. I always assumed this would only happen much later and technology would have advanced enough by then that I could have gotten a robotic lower

An anecdotal experience I had was that working at a large corporate was an incredibly pleasant experience. This is obviously due to where I worked being the type of company that was very generous to its employees, in all ways except remuner

I recently had a coding interview and it was a disaster. The annoying thing is it was actually a super simple question and I had done a lot of preparation, and had solved a similar issue in my actual job just by chance a couple weeks before

I always thought it would be a good idea for the interviewee to also come up with a question and then have the interviewer try and solve it with their guidance. I imagine it may be more helpful than the other way around. If the interviewer

Well spotted, I also didn't realise you could print such complex things in the console till I checked Discords out. That gave me a fright! Took me a while to realise that I was actually looking at the console.

I recently worked remotely for a month while on a semi-holiday. It was a lot better than I was expecting. I was worried I would end up not getting enough work done or worst yet appearing as if I was not getting enough work done. But being a

I was prescribed Ritalin in varsity. What a mess. Sure it would help you concentrate for really long hours, but the juice really wasn't worth the squeeze for me. It absolutely ruined my mood and at exam time I actually found myself ove

You could apply that pattern to a lot more than just the tech sector. It seems humans are doomed to this cyclical process of 3 steps forward 2 steps back. Maybe someone needs to create a cloud based serverless SaaS SPA web app developed in
