Just a little nitpick: I got curious why they choose a brush to represent the project. The icon is very related to art and illustration, but very poor in representing the scope of the project. Maybe something more… designed?

The taxes vary and are around 60% in the case of the iPhone. We have the ICMS in São Paulo (18%), the national tax on industrialized products (IPI – 15%) and the tax on imports (II – 16%). In addition to them, there is still PIS (2.10%) and

Thanks for the links, but regarding seobook.com/blog: it is quite strange to see a blog about SEO without HTTPS, which is a ranking signal since 2014 (1). (1) https://developers.google.com/search/blog/2014

Unfortunately, there is no real page building functionality in Publii. There is not even the possibility to create pages. So it's not a real WordPress competitor in this regard.

TL:DW: there are clear signs that this is not just a military exercise. 70% of russian tactical troops on the border. They are actually ready to wage war, there's no doubt about it. They did something similar in 2014. But maybe it'

You could use Blocks.app for that, its a visual site builder. It can even generate a WordPress theme. There's other similar tools like Bootstrap Studio or Coffecup Designer — or Pinegrow, if you are a little more technically inclined.

> The Gutenberg editor has been a disaster and now the full-site editing looks like it will generate the same type of spaghetti-HTML that the other page builders have been doing for years. This is not the case at all. The HTML generated

Stackbit can do that in its premium plan. It's not open source, unfortunately. https://docs.stackbit.com/conceptual-guides/modeling-storing...

That's true, but they're not really aimed at the same type of user. Publii is much, much more accessible to non-technical people.

Don’t try to make them love the terminal. They mostly won't, ever. Just give them visual tools like Webflow, Blocs.app, Bootstrap Studio or even WordPress (now a complete visual page builder, from version 5.9 onwards).

I could be wrong, but I think Publii is the only SSG that doesn't work from the command line and is specifically targeted at end users.

Yes, that's a nice solution. It's very easy to create a local instance of WP with the Local.app (localwp.com) and use the WP2Static plugin to generate a static version of it (or appi.sh, if you need to do that via terminal).

That looks like Publii. A no-frills SSG with a UI quite similar to WordPress that works completely off-line and generates static files to deploy anywhere.

Does this generate a block theme? I mean, one that uses both the theme.json file and HTML templates and parts? It would be nice to see a real example of a generated theme.

I found really amusing to see people posting quite strong and definitive opinions about something that is still very vague and, for all intents and purposes, not set in stone. It could be all of that, of course— until is not. It's a go

Notion.so is another example. The gTLD in this case could even be considered part or the brand, as notion.com points to it.

As long as it's “transparent to transcendence,” that's fine. Absolutely everything is this world can be used in this manner. It's all a great mystery anyway.

Bad reviews are pretty much expected for a project that are built in public like the Block Editor, and lots of them actually help to build a better product in the end. A final version was never meant to be released at once.

I've seen many examples here in HN about people who have lost access to one of these kingdoms for no good reason or as a result of some weird algorithmic decision.
