To be fair to those people, I did have plenty of grim thoughts pop up in my head. Dealing with some of them wasn't easy. But IMO it's better to be away what is going on deep inside yourself rather than let it brew till it explodes

You need boring sports where you don’t need 100% attention to not get hurt. E.g. road cycling on backroads is perfect. Mountain biking… no chance.

As an avid long distance cyclist, I talked to multiple people from, let’s say, conventional meditation community. All of them agreed that solo cycling is damn close to meditation if not the same. Especially road cycling, mountain biking is

Most people don't bother to turn on webcam on work meetings. Vast majority of people don't bother with video calls either and just use old good voice if not text. Why would those crowds bother with VR?

We're getting same issues but it takes few years to propagate. I'd say US is ~ 5 years ahead of UK and another 5 years of the rest of europe.

Just like nowadays. There's a famous columnist-wannabe-politician in my country. A part of one of his columns stuck with me. It was along the following lines: > Just think what would happen if people stopped caring about saving for

VCs won’t invest if they know this is your plan? If you lie to them and keep going for 500k, they can sue you for scamming (or whatever legal term is).

Resting and common time off work for community building is crucial. That's the core reason behind designated rest days in any major religion. And yes, it is specifically for the benefit of mankind. Many of today's problems arise f

Nobody? Nowadays the only way to get some legit information is to cross-check multiple conflicting sources. And then apply some gut feeling based on historical track record. Which also needs to be formed by cross-checking multiple sources.

I'm sorry, but this is just a historical fact that core Wafen-SS was very different from some auxiliary units. There's Nuremberg trials and plenty of research came after that. As far as I understand Hacker in HN stands for hacking
