I don't think so. But, the 2nd best city would be in the far second place, especially if you want to be in the startup environment.

When I was 13 years old, my dad had a heart attack and was admitted in hospital for 2 months. My mom had to accompany him in the hospital and we did not have an earning member in the family during that period. We also didn’t have health ins

Yes. I think Parse is good enough for your usecase. Games are client-side heavy and don't punish servers so much.

Depends on the app. If your app is server-side intensive & should be scalable, GAE is better. If it is client side intensive & time-to-market is important, Parse gives you lot of those out-of-the-box.

Heavy user of Hibernate and SQLAlchemy during SQL days. Stopped using it, after moving to NoSQL - because of broken portability.

But, he didn't offended anyone. Negative karma seems too harsh for a newbie and discourages them from participation. In real life, we don't do that to a person, if we think he is not adding value to the conversation.

I wanted this as well. But, the business model might be hard to sustain. Most of us might use it for prototyping and then move to server-side for production. Or, the original API provider might support CORS sooner or later.

IMO, statistics shows macro patterns that humans can understand (through analytics/dashboard). Today's data science produces micro patterns that are actionable (through personalized ads/newsletters), even if it is not human c

Facebook was created as friends network, while Twitter was created as followers network. Even though facebook added follow feature later, Twitter is still seen by many as followers network that suits celebrities.

The biggest advantage of javascript is quick prototyping + manipulating DOM objects with no tooling (you can debug with javascript console in the browser). I would die the day, I need a compiler to see a color change on a button.

If you are a startup, working remotely is not a good option. It is even worse, if your co-founder is working remotely. Startup is not just about getting things done faster. It is about validating if your direction is right. To do that, you

I don't think the job lost in US translates into outsourced job anymore. Cloud is destroying lot of bespoke app development, as startups are aggregating those bespoke needs of multiple companies into out-of-the-box apps. "There’s
