Android had audio latency issues for a long time, and I think they were originally related to the fact that Linux also had high latency audio. I was under the impression that these were much better now: https://android-developers

I don't have to constantly Google things while coding.

I have yet to see an example of Copilot do something that doesn't seem like basic autocomplete/snippets that editors and IDEs have been doing for decades or code so basic that it betrays the lack of competence by the user.

Unfortunately many of our politicians actively try to sabotage the IRS based on some fantasy about making them unable to collect income tax, or the very real problem of not giving them enough funding to go after rich tax dodgers.

Frankly, this is nonsense. Total funds going to projects has gone up over time. I support artists on Kickstarter frequently. What has likely happened is that Kickstarter's investors realized that it wasn't going to make them as mu

I haven't found seniority to matter. People who are self-directed tend to be early on. In the corporate world these people are rare though.

The other side of this is that it is exhausting having to constantly tell most people on the team what to do.

This line of argument is crazy and infuriating. "Air Canada essentially argued, 'the chatbot is a separate legal entity that is responsible for its own actions,' a court order said." Do they expect people to sue the chat

How do you square this with the fact that you likely used dozens of libraries from third parties?

It's crazy to me how opposed to building libraries everyone seems these days. We use a fuckton of libraries, but the smallest division of software we'll build is a service.

Except that most people build microservices in a way that ignores the reality of cloud providers and the fact that they are building (more) distributed systems, and often end up with lower resiliency.

Most jobs aren't a source of those things. Why should software development be any different? Introducing unnecessary technical challenges just to make your work interesting often has a negative impact on the end user/customer, whi

That might be great if Mozilla developed some basic CRUD application. I highly doubt that what they need is a couple dozen more junior people (we'll overlook the fact that we are all ignoring what the word few means). If they actually

Perhaps a better solution is to allow children on social media, but drastically limit how companies are allowed to interact with such accounts. Random ideas: no ads, no messages from people they don't follow, limit ability to follow ot
