Thanks for your perspective! sounds like for inbound only, I don't really have very many concerns then. on being able to do easy updates - yeah the biggest annoyance would be updating. Do you have a recommended email server to run?

"just making sure the files you upload to them aren't illegal" the problem lies in this sentence. 1) this happens on device before they're uploaded, which is a monumental shift for a company that claims to be pro-privacy
