It's like these people didn't notice the raft of cves on hardened VPN and firewall devices lately. Cisco iOS regularly has cves. Android and iOS both have critical rces. And remember Mirai?

I agree edr is not a DLP solution, but edr is there to prevent* an attack getting to the point where staging the data exfil happens... In which case yes I would expect web/volumetric DLP kicks in as the next layer. *Ok ok I know it

1. Double extortion is the norm, some groups don't even bother with the encryption part anymore, they just ask a ransom for not leaking the data 2. Appearently yes. Why do you think calls to ban payments exist? 3. At minimum it raises

If you have a networked hybrid heterogeneous system though now you have weakest link issue, since lateral movement can now happen after your weaker perimeter tool is breached

That only solves half the problem, it doesn't solve data theft

I trust one recognises that a huge difference between a post WW2 and a Threads post Ww3 situation is that in the former the United States is at its peak and regearing its industry to rebuild Japan and Europe while in the latter the US is al

I would hope enterprise users think carefully about data loss policies before signing up and placing corporate data on it...

Yes, subject matter expert is what it means in that context. Now I need an SME in linguistics to tell me if the usage as an acronym on that sentence is irony or not.

In the final report on the Irish health services ransomware incident, AV did pick up early signs of the attack but they were not further acted upon - there is value to enterprise AV, provided you back it up with enterprise incident response

In Malaysian Chinese restaurants a common dish is "Marmite chicken" which I imagine uses the same principle. We also dip buttered toast into softboil eggs with soya sauce and pepper so make of that what you will lol

It really impresses me that a typical ICE can run at thousands of RPM for years on end with relatively minimal maintenance, and then then it's not the pistons and engine block that will fail first.
