I think many would agree that object-verb is the better way, but the vim way is old and more established. I would imagine the sheer number of users would be far more for vim’s model. That said, it’s a mode that could be introduced in the f

Thank you for an awesome editor. I've been using it on and off since the first release. It is remarkably fast and you seem to have hit the right spots as far bootstrapping it goes! I agree with your plug-in philosophy and I'm exci

As someone who loved everything about Atom except the sluggishness and bloat, Zed sounds like exactly the thing that I've been wanting. VSCode/Codium is amazing but it feels the same - sluggish but a feature/extensions-packed

I have played with these in the past and found that rawtherapee results look far less appealing (or need far more effort than what I was willing to invest) than Adobe Lightroom for non trivial settings. I wonder how things compare now. It i

Just throwing a wild idea out there, if you ever decide to write a non-jvm based port of jEdit, possibly with support for the older plug-ins, I think it would become the best editor.

The biggest things that cause friction in SublimeText compared to jEdit are the tabbed views instead of separation between Buffers/Views. Then there's hypersearch, which is still the most versatile search implementation in an edit

Thank you for jEdit. It is my favorite editor that I have used next to vim for the past 13 years. It does SO many things right, that I can't find a single editor that can do the same things well. Combined with some of the plugins, that
