I have a single JS file, not vue components. Is still possible, but then my DIY build.sh need to be more complex. Still, the main point is that you can bring as much extra machinery as needed, instead of bring all then only use a fraction.

Thanks for the compliment. I consider "talent" as the amount skills you have at your disposal. I think a average idiot will be more productive the more broad is their horizons ;)

So we are on agreement (how weird that happened often on HN, at least on tech!) I also add that you need to explore that languages to become talented. I'm pretty certain to be an average developer, at most. Not because low self-est

No, the language is part of the equation. I have code, for work, in: FoxPro, Delphi, Python, VB, VB.NET, C#, F#, Obj-C, Swift, Rust, Sql, Js. I rewrite apps and codebases, and move them. I rewrite the same stuff many times, and make my own

You can't? Most people only see the relational model as is inside a RDBMS. That is how judge the OO for what you can do on Mongo. RDBMS have some weird and well considered restrictions for their case. But read a little about the relati

That is an angle. Other way to say it is that ORM is a workaround to the fact most languages are VERY poor at manipulate data. Exist 2 main reasons for the "impedance mismatch": - Paradigms. 2 different paradigms will be at odds.

by mamcx 8y ago
Why nano? nano is sane. With Emacs/VI you need to bring a HUGE mental framework to just use it. And maybe, with luck or some years of pain training, to just EXIT it :) --- Vim/emacs are powerful. Nice? Never. Easy? never. Good for
