I agree wholeheartedly with your point, and as I said before most of the ideas presented here, either for or against this initiative, make sense! It's a difficult subject and one that should be discussed. It just seems to me that we all hav

Ok, cool. Everyone has their ideas, they all make sense (we're all reasonably rational people here) and, in an ideal world, I agree that we should not need or have these groups. Except... the under-representation is already there, so we hav

Great and fun application, but these little pauses at the "seams" between the loops are REALLY throwing me off. You can't stomp your feet to this for more then one whole loop. Too bad, I loved the idea and the implementation!

I don't see why you're being downvoted. I failed to see what the chicken/egg problem was as well, it was not obvious to me. Maybe asking politely for clarification would be better than just denying whatever the parent said, but still... To

I think that's exactly the point. People want to buy stuff from whoever they like. This is the same as the Louis CK show. I like these guys, they're releasing something new, I'll pay (and wait for it if needed). Whether or not this would wo

Here's hoping no samoans have their birthdays on December 30th. It would sure suck if my government cancelled the entire day of my birthday!

I understand where you're coming from, but we sometimes seem to forget that pretty much everything these guys say on stage is made-up material. Of course, some might be based on fact, but let's not assume whatever he says happened to him di

This is one of the BEST bits I've seen him do. "I have NEGATIVE five dollars. That means if something is free, I can't afford it!" Heheh, love his shows.

I used to be very afraid of long single lines, until I studied a bit of queue theory in college. I now feel angry whenever I see lots of small lines, and relieved when I'm in a store that has a larger single line with a bunch of "servers" a

I didn't downvote your reply, even if I don't especially care for your explanation. I do believe in the power of painkillers, I just think that there's more to it than that. The idea of pre-recording one's last words, though, is brilliant!

Yeah, I got the mid-2009 13-inch MBP, with the NVIDIA Graphics. Still waiting on newer 13-inch MBPs with NVIDIAs / ATIs, though. Very sad they decided to switch back to Intel... :/

That makes sense, but it raised a question on my mind: What about malicious sites? Could this be used to do something without the user knowing? One could mark a link as prefetch and that URL would be downloaded without prompting the user. D

Didn't Capcom did something like that with their old console games? I think they had an app with some demos and were selling their games as IAP. Might work!

I thought the same when I saw it. Weirdly enough, though, the average was at about $4.40 when I saw it earlier today, and it is $4.27 now. Wonder if this technique might be driving some people to pay more (I will do it as soon as I get home

That might well be true, but is it not Zimbabwe we're talking about here? I know they're neighbors, but that doesn't mean they face the same exact problems.
