I recommend everyone to take a look at the talk linked in the article. It gives you a good overview of how awesome svelte is and how easy it is to use. I chose vue over react for simplicity and I'll be damned if I don't choose sve

This benchmark is pretty misleading. And not the mention that elasticsearch is free for multi node deployments while redis search is not.

Even if connections per second can be a magnitude or two lower than requests per second this result is still quite off by today's alternative. 14 core machine comparing .net core with other top webservers: https://www.ageof

According to the article they have been using rust in production for 1½ years, .net core 2 was released in 2017 so it definitely existed. If .net core was mature enough for their liking is however another matter.

I agree, it will definitely be the largest health care scandal in Sweden's history, but it will most likely not end up with a class action lawsuit.

Interested to know why they didn't consider .net core.

I love both for different reasons and pick my flavor according to the size and complexity of the project. Seems fair enough?

A class action is not likely. Most Swedes will probably see this as a minor setback and just move on.

uWebsockets is an awesome project! Been following it since the start pretty much, And I'm really glad more people out there care more about performance than throwing more servers at the problem. Keep it up alex!

Have we seen any proof of life out there? Well, no... So if there's an alien race out there that's at the same level of technology as we are, could they prove that we exist? Well no... Let's think about that for a second, bec

Really really great article! Hopefully, this sheds some light on people who are in similar situations to ask themselves if it's worth it.

As a heavy user of Rancher 1.6 this is amazing news! The only gripe I have is the api is not as functional as 1.6, It's lacking features such as upgrading a pod. Other than that it's looking better than ever.

I would imagine if what happened to facebook happened to google, it would be 100 times worse. So when do we tackle google?

to be fair, this is not an electron issue as vscode runs fine on all platforms. I don't really want to bash the devs but... Maybe they should take a look at it.

JWT's are stateless and cookies are not, you can achieve the same thing with cookies as with JWT if you store your sessions in redis etc.. for api's I'd recommend JWT's.

I've tried so many monitor setup's for programming and I always ran out of screen space. Went from 1 24" 1080p to 3 and finally landed on 6 and I now feel like I have enough room. A side benefit of having 6 monitors is that i

I've always wondered if you could let the engine do the type checking or create type definition files for you, maybe an optional v8 flag? This would be best case scenario so we could get rid of the tedious work that one has to put in t
