Technically it's closer to 8. Which is quite a bit. That said even. If it's relatively very different, absolutely speaking its 40mb which is very little even if you have to transfer it up.

The whole question about Kerviel is if his management let him "bypass" regulatory safety nets or if he did it by himself.

Even more so that notre dame has been heavily restored by architect viollet-leduc in the middle of the XIXth century. Look at this photography from 1840: the highest peak that has collapsed was not there. https://fr.m.wikipedia.o

For those that don't know, OPC Unified Architecture (OPC UA) is a machine to machine communication protocol for industrial automation ( from Wikipedia https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/OPC_Unified_Architecture )

Agree. It's also an - involuntary - message to the rest of us that we are likely capable of a lot less than he is.

For all words the equivalent of computer - "ordinateur" was invented by académie française from a sollicitation of IBM and it stuck. Everyone uses this word now.

Thanks this comment is useful, client side integration is integration after all, and I think if it was simple, you would have it done differently (if I understand your words correctly - "cheating").

Funny this article comes just before the iPhone revolution which puts everything in your pocket and has swallowed the gps, radio, camera, iPod, phone and pda in one single device.

What's interesting is also how go and python interaction is since you seem to be able to call go from python and the reverse very efficiently.

Well -Os can be a bit better. However I doubt program size is very significant compared to data size in Compiled languages by example.

Sure but even a language neutral ballpark could be useful to compare relative sizes. Is network or disk energy used insignificant wrt CPU or ram ? Is it roughly equivalent ?

Why not have clearer file, filename or data keyword arguments ? Or just file and call open or stringio if you have the file name or data ? Plenty of more explicit solutions.

Uh why ? Thousands of hits per second will generally be IO or DB bound and will be done using clear code and a minimum of boilerplate.

I don't understand the alignment argument. You can insert spaces (or your editor ) and align types on the right if needed.

The extension operator still resembles more a set union than an addition. The fact that it is not commutative is not imo an argument since sum is even more frequently used with a commutative semantics.

Maybe they're not talking about ram but Flash I/D cache. By example Stm32f4 come with flash cache (they call it ART accelerator) to prefetch instructions from flash to enable "zero" wait states.

That could be read as : even the most secure Linux environment currently and what could be seen as security best practice ( which your post helpfully enumerates ) requires asan for testing only .

I'll take advantage of this thread to ask a related question : do you consider address sanitizers (ASAN) should be applied to harden binaries (on release builds) ? It indeed has a cost but can detect and crash on use after free or out

Since HiFive is to my knowledge the only ones producing such kind of silicon chips with this instruction set, it is infinitely cheaper than other options, reducing the average price by NaN. I fail to see how more supply for an open architec

Unless you import rand() your code should be deterministic. You're right about needing to run the thing to get the data (that's the point) but there is a middle ground between pure literals and fully side effects code. By example
