Wow, existing text-adventure could be very interesting with this kind of semi real-time illustrations. Maybe we'll finally know what is Grue like. Also, Table RPGs with Dall-E illustrations generated semi-realtime by the game master.

People generally dont need more calories that they already have, they need less. They must do (but dont do enough) physical exercice to loose extra energy they consume (in places where cars are an issue).

I love make. What I hate are the default implicit rules. Compiling C from an empty makefile is cool and all, but I resent having implicit build rules for rcs, modula2, texinfo, lex for ratfor (a "preprocessor for fortran 66" tf?).

Accentuâtes and édit do make sense as French words. An Édit is an edict, and accentuâtes is simple past (passé simple) for accentuer (accentuate).

This feature is precisely very useful when you don't have a filesystem to read data from at runtime. Embedding it to the binary to flash it is so much simpler with this.

My carpenter has a lot of tools that can be dangerous if misused. Of course better tools can be devised, but useful things have been done with them (and he still has all his fingers)

It's high time we have native local sandboxed and easy to install apps again. Maybe through browser for ui api if we don't know anything else, maybe using a store. I'm not sure somebody has to watch everything I do on a pc.

10 years ago you could buy a core i5 2500 for ~$200. Quad core, 3.7GHz max. Seem to be half the perf of a current i5 on 4threads benchmarks. Of course phones have progressed faster but will they for the next 10 years? Probably not in terms

Agreed with what you said, but even for Blender, performance is important but the feature are Free software, good modeler, correct, feature-packed, good looking renderer AND performance.

If it stops working or being updated, I'm not sure the value of said nonfunctioning device will be great. It could be with an open os if its functionality suits you.
