Have you? Linux is gorgeous! Plus this thing is meant to evade governments; you can't expect something this hideous to be audited, and used, and for others to trust their lives with.

No need to be defensive, this really is crappy code. It's just one big file of hot mess. Clearly, the author is better at home breaking software than making it. And it's fine. He or she also has certain amount of artistic leeway

I thought it was a clever logo, given the subject matter (i.e. compilers producing object code, even MS compiler has (had?) *.obj as an extension for output)

Responding to the public hysteria; they couldn't take their chances, they would have been crucified if even a single incident was reported, because they had "forewarning". Steve Gibson did to raw-sockets what Jenny McCarthy d

Oh yes, he has been around for long. But he lost a bit of credibility after his wolf-cry when he campaigned against the inclusion of raw-sockets in Windows XP, alleging hackers might use it.

Run, don't walk, and get "An Introduction to Mathematical Reasoning"by Peter Eccles. That will open your eyes to mathematics, as done by mathematicians. After that, anything by Serge Lang. He is a first-rate mathematician and

You read way too much into my comment. I wasn't trolling. My position is that if you're involved in computing in any capacity, you will have to learn countless formalisms and languages. And S-expressions are on the more accessible

Why would reliance on Lisp be an issue? It's a basic requirement. Lisp can be learned in 2 hours. If you can't spend 2 hours learning some basic rules, you have no business dabbling in computing. Lisp resistence is a phobia, a pro

That's what I get for reading diffs on a mobile phone at 11PM. But my concern does stand, OpenSSH does allow for multiple declarations on one line in their style guide.
