I still fail to see how Evernote is worth this much. But then, I prefer plain text notes with Simplenote/Dropbox/nvALT, so perhaps I'm just not the target audience. Still...

Actually, I've gotten 3G coverage in the remotest parts of Thailand, places that only got electricity this year. I had more trouble staying connected in small towns and such in the US!

And I can personally say (as someone who received a review copy ... thanks Josh!) that the Personal MBA book is great. My teenage siblings even found it interesting enough that they have told me things they learned from it. It's seriously g

I hit CMD+space, CMD+V, CMD+A, then CMD+X all the time to use OS X' Spotlight text field to stip formatting from text I've copied from the web and other applications. It's far from an elegant solution, but it does work!

I had a Newton that I was given in 2000 after a relative's company decommissioned them (a medical services company that had rolled out hundreds of them to home healthcare nurses). Frankly, it seemed pretty amazing even then. The built-in ch

As stated above, I use my iPad 1 for my full on-the-go computing needs. Granted, I'm a writer and editor, but still, that means I'm writing plain text or HTML posts, managing a team, responding to support emails in Mail or Desk.com's web ap

Comically, I personally prefer typing on an iPad in the car over typing on a laptop. The on-screen keyboard definitely works for me.

I'm still rather pleased with my iPad 1, and use it as my on-the-go computer for trips about once a month. And that's for real work: writing and editing articles, managing a team, and doing app support and random email. And yup, an iPad 1.

Unless you're checking email headers, you just might not know if you've received emails from people using an iPad. I send dozens of emails weekly from my iPad 1, both directly through the Mail app and through online apps like Desk.com. And

No problem at all! You might want to try out a Photoshop Elements trial along with an Elements+ trial and make sure it fits the bill for what you need, but I bet it would.

I would absolutely recommend getting Photoshop Elements. It's got most of the features of Photoshop you'd ever use, and is much cheaper. You can get it bundled with Premiere Elements for $74 on Amazon right now, in fact. In fact, I bet you'
