Someone once pointed out to me that Transformers cartoons are essentially toy commercials. I know this now but my twelve year blissfully did not. So maybe you are just referring to the loss of innocence that comes from biting a fruit from t

I do not agree. I just think people truly don't know what they have until it's gone. And I also think our minds are good at forgetting the bad parts when we are thinking back.

If they have the ability to create something like Star Wars, my own personal plan is that they don't sit on their ass for twenty+ years reaping the benefits of a single achievement. Really, given all the need there is in the world, thi

The employee is deaf. He needs an interpreter to understand the customer's speech. He does not need the interpreter to respond to that speech. He would be performing his job. Your drywall analogy is insulting.

Write once test everywhere was the problem. If you wanted a fully tested app, you have to bundle a JRE, and if you are bundling a JRE then backward compatibility is not as important.

My anecdotal life experience as a person in their mid-forties: my happiness depends upon a balanced daily rhythm. And I need things I "have" to do to capture that rhythm. With too much free time I just fall apart. It feels good fo

I think schools more and more will have to focus on teaching kids how to play and live without technology. These schools already exist of course, but I won't be surprised if someday they become more mainstream. Kids don't need to
