I work with sonar and the physical positioning of the sensors is important in trying to get useful results. Why is it these academic types don't release the apks or software? Just publications and maybe a video.

You won't be able to hover with that type of drone. With quad copter design you have more control on how the drone moves.

Did you never use these free AOL CDs when you were a kid. Yes they did provide access to the entire internet, but it was designed to get people to use AOL. I am not going to complain about free internet even if it is walled.

The big takeaway is how ubiquitous mobile phones are. Everyone might not have water or a toilet, but they will have a cell phone since a cell phone is cheaper than anything else.

I thought they already had photo voltaic cells. I guess this is just a more efficient version of a device like that. It made it sound like they had invented a photo voltaic cell which they didn't.

IBM just did massive layoffs in hardware. I used to visit essex junction plant a bunch and they had a lot of layoffs there. I don't know how much commitment Management there has toward hardware.
