thanks. should not we approach this problem in two steps: 1) Use tools (like ActOnCloud (which i founded few years ago), CloudCheckr, Cloudyn and etc.,) to automatically fix low-hanging fruits and put a governance layer around your cloud us

I would suggest trying a relevant local meetup event. At in India, there is a general body - NASSCOM - which organises events and conferences where one would find a mentor or someone to look up to and learn from them.

We have so many people who use MEAN based stack and run it on Linode or DigitalOcean. This is not only from our online surveys, but from interactions at local meetup events.

True. Initial hurdle to setup all the projects was the speed breaker, which is getting resolved as we progress. Apache Cloudstack is also a good choice if one is looking for just the IaaS component. Just fit it. Battle tested.

Nice post indeed. Few cents from our experience at ActOnCloud, Often Cloud-first and Cloud-only companies would face similar issues in future. Cloud is a one way trip. Unless one takes care of vendor lock-in and prepare the team for better
