From the article: "But those companies could start collecting taxes sooner to avoid paying the taxes themselves." This is also how I understand other, similar taxes (like Sales Taxes) work. The business whose service/good wo

I'd like to point out that how many calories they consume does not necessarily affect the number of calories they burn (excusing starvation mechanics since I have no idea how that works).

I'm not certain I understand how their use of _ is any different from Lo-dash or Underscore's use of the variable. Just because they're not first to the party doesn't mean they can't hop on the established semantic

I think that reflects more poorly on you than you might think. Not because you're calm and laid back but because you don't care. If you're working a job that doesn't excite or, at least, interest you, you're not d

To be fair, every example of Common Core I've ever seen only succeeded in confusing the hell out of me. I understand that everyone should have the same foundation, but not everyone learns the same way and Common Core seems to gloss th

Then why don't you go learn those things? Set yourself up with a project where you'll need to learn them and go get it done. If that's not how you've learned everything you know to-date, then do whatever it was you did

There's a marked difference between "drinking" and "being drunk". It's perfectly acceptable where I work to "have a beer", but I would fully expect to be, at least, reprimanded for anything more tha

If you apply yourself, I agree. The problem is really that, when you're just trying to get a job done, you often don't run into all the edge cases and weird shit that can happen or even some of the less common error states. It re

I'm not entirely sure how someone can prevent the publicly available Google Analytics code from getting hijacked. The author is claiming the sites responsible aren't even going to his site, just using, again, publicly available i

I think it's mostly the number of common homophones and the speed at which most English speakers think and type that causes the problem. Add that to obscure language rules and you can end up with something that looks completely wrong,

When put on small terms, like this, subsidized education always starts to look bad. Scaling it up makes it seem much more fair. As an American, I understand the concept of doing it yourself and not paying for things that don't benefi
