> France is giving up on new nuclear plants because the can't build them sufficiently cheaply. No. France aiming at 50% of nuclear electricity (down from 75%) is a purely political move, to please some people that fear nuclear more

France is at a lifecycle 30gCO2e/kWh right now (clement weather). Nuclear is 6g. Less than 10g for a year is possible.

> So the reduction of nuclear energie is the direct consequence of that Not for now, Fessenheim wasn't closed because of its age evaluated by the French ASN, but because of the assessment of the risks of its age by the French EELV

"cleaner" is an understatement. It's not 10% or 30% cleaner in terms of climate impact, it's more like 80%. Same for air pollution.

What about writing YAML, parsing it in your preferred programming language, and document what's expected ? We're doing it with thousands of lines of YAML, it's working great.

What I miss in Zulip is Slack-like threads. In Slack, when you don't care about a thread, you just don't open it, it doesn't clutter your view. But Slack also misses Zulip's model.

Is it possible to add to this kind of script the monitoring of idle time ? With a reset when back from an idle time longer than the pause.

OneMap3D's approach won't handle natural landscapes, e.g. trees and rocks. Ok, it's not really useful but fascinating to explore https://earth.app.goo.gl/Ld1b8R

I'm pretty sure these numbers are LCAs : https://www.electricitymap.org/?page=country&solar=false&rem... Hydro, nuclear, wind turbines would all be 0g/kWh if it was only about fuel.
