I don't think the inversion of control that SwiftUI or Jetpack Compose do on MVC is particularly fundamental. Factoring out the diffing of state when an observer is notified of updates into a single place can be a useful thing to do in

In my personal experiments, I ended up using document fragments. I wasn't doing FRP, just classic MVC, but a view (which was a JavaScript object) had a reference to the DOM elements it was responsible for. If it needed to replace them,

Swing generally looks like the native widgets set. And how is it outdated? It's not like GUI programming has changed much.

My doctoral level real analysis course (the one on measure theory, Lebesgue integration, etc.). Hardest course I ever took, but it was the great unification that made so much of the math in my head just special cases of the same thing.

We also have Swing in Java which is mature, performant, and works across all our desktop stacks. Mobile UI is different enough that you need to write a different interface anyway.

Last time I checked (over a year ago now) the pipeline that checked for political ads in Washington state, which Facebook is not allowed to run, remained broken. A lot of stuff is like this. It's probably not a question of Facebook pol

I stand. I gave up on sitting years ago. It takes some time to adjust, but I do everything standing. Occasionally I'll go lie down for a few minutes, or take a walk.

The majority of working pickups are compacts way smaller than an F-150 that are part of landscaping fleets and the like. They're all FWD.

What that sentence is saying is that, in their data, slow walkers (think people whose hips, knees, or back are impeding their ability to walk well) had the shortest life expectancy, and the lowest BMIs had the shortest of all. So if you

The problem is that professional mathematicians have a common language that they all have learned which serves them well...and they're the ones writing the Wikipedia articles. Imagine if all the programming documentation you worked wit

The two places I would look are: 1. Oberon. It certainly qualifies as a modern language, it was designed for doing systems work, there is an MS-DOS compiler from ETHZ, and the language is single pass and designed by one of the masters to be

For barefoot shoes, my absolute favorite is Tade Evo. I destroy a pair in about a year, but I have happily continued to destroy pairs for quite a few years now. After them, Feelmax. I have not yet been able to destroy my boots from them.

Seconded. I got one of these and was surprised at how much I love it. The input latency is unnoticeable. I intentionally don't connect my email, calendar, or anything interruptible to it and it is a wonderful notepad, reader, etc.

If this is a personal project, go ahead and try it. See what you think. If this is a project for a company, then look at the intersection of what they have in-house expertise in running and maintaining and what you know well, and use that.

The question, then, is why not have the state university build the tests and write the textbooks? Then you fund the actual creation once and can straightforwardly fund updates and alterations as needed.
