I love how you didn't even try. You don't know what HN even is, you copied and pasted an email into a message board and you didn't even care to tell us why we should care.

That's what drives me crazy. People just adding cool toys not because they need it but because it is "cool" or "new". Why do we need to "compile" our JS which just adds to our development time and then we

Wait. So if I am suspected of being a terrorist or a pedophile, I can refuse to give my encryption key, go away for 5 years then get out without charges? How is this not a valid defense?

Windows is quite a nightmare for any time of compiled code in my opinion. All of the Microsoft 'stuff' (anything in Visual Studio) works okay but once you start installing python or node modules, forget about it. I remember the cl

Yeah, I wrestled with that briefly. For anyone not in the know, declaring `const` on an object only makes it where you can't re-assign the object, but you can still mutate its 'members'. Personally, I use `let` just to symbol

I think this is really great but there is a difference between "boy-ish behavior" and bullying. Just hand-waving away bullying as "boys will be boys" is reckless and irresponsible. If a boy wants to shove around someone

Hilariously enough, my fiance now works in printing and actually mixes the colors (t-shirt printing). I haven't brought it up yet because we once had a fight over whether that thing you put outside your shower is called a bath mat or a

I legitimately had a huge argument with my (former) roommate over primary colors. She was more artsy, I was insistent that the primary colors were RGB, she was insistent that they were RYB. We googled. We were both right in some senses.

This might work for Indian people but I feel like if you are targeting US people you shouldn't use IIT as an "entrepreneur" school, use Harvard, MIT or Stanford. We do have ITT (Tech) but they are basically the laughing stock

Shakes are very good for exactly that. When I was recovering from anorexia, I got a large milkshake every night. Milkshakes are really, really easy ways to get enormous amounts of calories into yourself.

Can attest... Our site actually doesn't work if you are using uBlock. I fixed it at one point but... actually, I forget why it didn't get merged in. Anyway, basically the response was almost "Who cares?"

... And why should you need that kind of machine to do text-editing? If a text editor can't open a big file unless you are on a beast of a machine, it isn't a very good text editor.
