Yeah. Life comes at you fast doesn’t it? My son, who is 17, said that they were talking about “the late 1900s” in class the other day and I could almost feel my body turning into dust.

The title needs to be corrected. The point of the article is how to boot from an ISO image without needing a USB drive.

I always use MAS to install my production Xcode, specifically because it lets me have small updates. I've been doing this for as long as it's been available there as a developer at Apple, in my own startup, and in my current role

This seems to mostly be missing Mac specific commands. Even super basic things like `defaults`, `plutil`, `mdfind`, `diskutil`, and `bless` are missing. I can understand missing some of the more esoteric things like `xart`, but so far it’s

Which is why you shouldn’t have a 4 digit PIN. By default Apple devices have wanted a 6 digit PIN for a while now. I have an 8 digit one on my watch, but use a passphrase on my iPhone.

Your watch really shouldn’t be able to do that. The pairing uses p2p latency as a way to determine if you are actually close enough to your Mac to want to unlock it. I’ve used it for years now with a variety of watches and Macs and I’ve alw

It relaxes the signing requirements and malware signature checks for binaries run in the Terminal. This way you can build and test stuff without needing to relax the security posture of the entire Mac.
