Since in Ruby false and nil are the only "falsish" values and everything else is true, their values has been chosen to make a boolean test as efficient as possible. See: https://github.com/ruby/ruby/blob/trunk/include/ruby/ruby.h#...

I've been coding in my spare time in and out since I got my first computer. I didn't do it because I wanted to be a good programmer, but because I love creating stuff and programming is the easiest way I know to create stuff. I'm not happy

Thanks for the pointers. It is indeed much more fun to work on an app that looks hot! I've seen pilu's theme, but I'm aiming at having themes designed by professionals (no offense to pilu), with quality similar to http://www.woothemes.com/

This is my blog post. Not much to see atm. I'm only validating if there's enough interest at the moment. Didn't expects it to get posted to HN. That being said, any feedback on the idea are greatly welcome :)

Hey Aaron, glad my book was helpful. What do you feel is missing from it? Now that I think about it, looking at instruction sets made it click for me too, so maybe it's something i should include. And nice work with your language!

If you're not looking for a homerun, I suggest you look at niche markets. I'm making about 15k/yr w/ my niche product: http://createyourproglang.com/ . Where I live it's not enought to replace my job, but it's a nice complementary income.
