That's not just moving actions though, that's moving _everything_ and taking on the maintenance of running it yourself.

They’ve said that, but it doesn’t add up. The outages started shortly after the migration to Azure became the top priority, and before the load massively increased form agentic coding (by their own dates).

I found that reflection/meditation before bed didn’t work for me. I do my reflection/journalling as part of my “stimulating” activities so that my mind has an hour or so to process what I’ve been doing.

I did a CBT course on it, the steps were very roughly to stay up until I got tired and then get up at my target time. IIRC that was stay up till 4 and get up at 7:30. That pretty quickly made me realise that I was _definitely_ getting way m

I won’t claim to have any qualifications but generally the more I look after myself the better I sleep. The better I sleep the more I can look after myself.

What was the outcome of the report to HR? I think if you work somewhere that this is the result, you're unlikely to have much progress challenging anything directly. In order to actually have change you need to be able to challenge and

I’ve always struggled with sleep. A few things that helped me (in order of importance) - go to bed and get up at the same time every day. Getting up is more important than going to bed. - no phone in bed, and limit stimulating activities (i

Anecdotally, there are no engineers who I considered “great engineers” before who are now just posting slop. The great engineers are still great engineers - and I don’t know (or care) if they’re LLM assisted.

But that’s not what happens - people are posting the question into Claude and pasting back saying “here’s what Claude said”. There’s 0 value add in that - I don’t know if you agree, disagree or have even read it. My experience is that most

At my last job, a coworker did this to me. The first time it happened, I ignored it. The second time, I responded in public saying “thanks but I can ask Claude myself.” Nobody ever pasted me an LLM response again. YMMV with team size and se

I’ve found it’s very city dependent. My experience in the US was yelp was miles ahead, but where I live (Edinburgh) it’s pretty much useless.

That's pretty mental. Those Xeon E5's are 50w at idle, plus 10w for the 10Gb Ethernet, before you add any storage. A core 3 N300 is 1/10 of the power usage, for ~85% of the performance. Integrity at the filesystem level is re

It’s clear at this point that agents don’t actually follow agents.md They try to but they don’t. As an example, we use perforce in games. I regularly have to stop an agent and remind it to use p4 edit rather than blasting through the read
