How many hours hours of programming can you do? For me, it's aroud 4 hours (sometimes 6). Programming is hard and needs a huge amount of concentration.

I use "star" in my programming language to "dereference" generators (run them until they are finished). For example: //block for 4s sleep* 4 //run a modal form let* ok form_confirm "

I memorize everything and try to reuse the same patterns everywhere. I put stuff I rarely use in textfiles. When it's finished, I copy everything on an usb stick. I destroy all accounts I don't use (when possible).

I don't think so (for example Chapel does SIMD).

Probably yeah as it's done by Cray. The main feature of Chapel is to handle well the many levels of parallelism.

You can publish your articles on dailyprog/~yourname (it's a community of programmers). An example of someone starting a text-based blog: http://dailyprog.org/~tacixat/blog/posts/Problems%20With%20S.

Yeah async is difficult to reason about. I found a solution with generators in my custom programming language to keep the flow sequential (especially for UI). An example of two ok/cancel buttons followed by some sleep (with generators

We miss highlevel IDEs (like Smalltalk, Excel or even Scratch and Eve) for people who are ready to program something but won't be able to use the tradional workflow based on shell commands and textfiles. Expecting people to massively l
