Right. They introduced quick look soon after, but still not ideal. If you interact with the finder in any way, “quicklooked” item changes.

Interesting. I switched to the Mac in 2005, and what I missed the most was the fact that in windows you could double click an image and then tap the left and right keys to browse other photos in the same folder. I learned objective c and ma

Yeah I kinda stopped reading there. The author’s pov seem quite skewed by a few experiences and making the wrong correlations

I’m surprised there’s no mention of creativity and outside the box thinking. Listening to this podcast I was wondering if we could train the LLM with knowledge cutoff right before transformers, and ask it to come up with an ML method for LL

Greg Brockman talks about it on Lex’ podcast I think. He thinks ultimately AGI won’t be anything more than token generation, if I remember correctly

Humans are quite bad at a lot of primarily human tasks... I'm grateful every time I don't have to deal with a secretary behind the phone, bank teller, travel agent, etc thanks to all these functionalities having become automated.

I agree with the general sentiment. I also think we forgot how to enjoy quality time together and these “solutions” will make matters worse. But in some scenarios, like what I described, which is just spending time together, it can help

This is the first feature which makes me kind of excited for VR. I live away from my country and my parents for over 20 years and I’d love to be able to sit in my parents’ living room, or have them sit in mine and share a moment together. F
