Some background: there was a month-long bidding war between answers.com and IAC (ask.com) for about.com[1]. I wonder how things went since IAC's offer[2]. Did Answers upped their offer? Did it went personal and they left the table? One can

Agreed! With the caveat that it should be both to and from (using some standard schema). Replied elsewhere to OP and addressed this as well.

I worked at SAP Research on that exact subject. Many comments here were really spot on and sprung to my mind as well. Instead of responding to each one individually and as you asked for it I'll try to organize my feedback here, FWIW: 1. I w

I like this idea very much and its simplicity, but it seems inevitable to me that going down this path will just recreate RDF[0] and RDF Schema. A sort of a semantic web version of Greenspun's tenth rule[1]. For those of you who want to qui

Really, what's the deal with this? Why is Germany the most problematic in this aspect? Every country have such organizations but somehow it's always my German contacts to which showing a video becomes an epic poem.

It was a major disappointment for me at the time as after years with Linux I bought a Mac exactly because I wanted to focus on my work and not on solving fringe kernel issues. Luckily, no major problems since then.

There was definitely some wifi drivers problem in the original Lion. I wrote a fairly popular blog post summarizing reported solutions to the wifi problem in Lion and what solved it for me: http://thoughts.maayank.com/2011/08/wireless-prob

An honest question: assuming you have more than 1 credit card, aren't all/most of them international? Are local-only credit cards the norm in the U.S.? And do you really need a bank account per credit/debit card? I'd assume you have "extern
