That is a beautiful website. I got lost in it and it created a sense of wonder. Nice.

I learned a ton from doing “Over the wire”. After that I read “The Unix programming environment” and after that it clicked. Story time - a thing I learned from TUPL. I did an interview at the and they had a bunch of programming questions. O

Could you expand on your trading bot? To bad for NASA denying your mugshot. I bet it would have generated many stars on GitHub.

My not so generous and extreme take is that the medical profession has a “hero culture”. There is prestige in working your ass of and living for work. Work life balance is for the weak people who can’t take it, they are not real health prof

Is that on the cloud? If so, no thanks. I’ll take either a local LLM or a licensed therapist whose career I can ruin if they spill the beans.

I believe Gemini has a 1M context window.

So I can feed a lossy text to an LLM and it can “delossy” it? Does the lossy text take up less space so this could work as a weird compression?

I think the camera import on Excel MacOS works pretty well. You could probably call that version through an API.

I work as a civil engineer in road construction. I was certain that it was the roads that drove the development of bikes, not the other way around. It’s cool that the bike movement had a role in building roads. And that a political movement

I think you are up for a surprise if you read the Wealth of nations. Adam Smith was a moral philosopher and was pretty preoccupied by the negative consequences of the division of labor.

Can this be used for deobfuscation of code? I really hadn’t thought about LLM being a tool during reverse engineering.

I went hiking in Yosemite/John Muir for a week. The night sky was something I hadn’t experienced before. I didn’t bring a tent so I slept under the night sky. I remember waking up and thinking “aha, that’s why it’s called the Milky Way

I went to Ethiopia in 2015. Unfortunately we didn’t go to Dallol and the Danakil depression. I have added it to my bucket list since I find deserts to be a fascinating environment.

I got a call in the middle of the night where an unknown woman kept asking me who i was. I thought it was a scam so I was very vague. The woman then went on to tell me my mom had had a stroke. Unfortunately she was telling the truth. So yea

I really like the work of Gervaise Bushe and his book “clear leadership”. He makes the argument that by putting a lot of effort in understanding your own and other peoples viewpoint you are able to build good relationship. But what I believ

I have a Mac and Windows hooked up the same monitor and keyboard/mouse. I used a USB-switch and connected the monitors separately with USB-C and VGA. Then I don’t have to route the video though the USB-switch.

Thanks for the write up. I am seriously considering the NeoSmartpen since it’s cheaper in the beginning and I really like the feeling of ink flow. I looked at their website and if you buy the idea pads you get 5 for 20 USD, seems reasonable
