Hard to say, my impression is that WhatsApp got a lot of publicity because of the high acquisition price. I think that contributed to its growth significantly.

It's true. Obviously I could do it if I could look it up or if I could look it up, but not on command.

I don't know. I would imagine that if a github employee came across a repository with realistic-looking data from millions of people I am guessing they would probably suspend the account.

I don't think it's exactly same. The MegaVideo case was about copyright. That is normally protected by DMCA, but they have some proof that MegaVideo employees uploaded copyrighted material themselves. This case, on the hand, is no

This is not true. ContentId filters copyrighted content. YouTube also moderates content and demonetizes video with certain content. I am pretty sure at least part of that must be done manually.

There are probably several orders of magnitude less github repos than videos on youtube (almost anyone can record a video, few people know how to use git). It's also easier to review source code/text files than videos where you&#x

It's a very new thing. Pretrained ImageNet models were first released around 2011. Pretrained transformer models have only been released recently. Also, transformers are only useful for short text, not full documents (AFAIK).

Sounds like they are doing something similar: Separately, the Trump administration is pursuing a regulation that would tie what Medicare pays for drugs administered in doctors’ offices to lower international prices.

If you allow drugs to be imported it will make it impossible for a company to sell the same drug cheaper elsewhere. It will have the same effect, wouldn't it?

It would create transparency. Over the long-term that means that prices will become more equal. The people who are paying the most (un-/underinsured) will be the ones who benefit the most.

I haven't followed mix panels development. I was surprised that a company which went as far as writing their own time series database apparently decided to go all in on Google cloud.

I am confused by your use of the word cost hiding. Do you mean cost saving?

Oliver’s researchers even uncovered an incident in which a worker had died on the job and her co-workers were told to carry on working in the presence of her corpse. No, they didn't. This was about a different company.

Some early spam filters could also be tricked using the same technique. I think PG might have written about this.

Just because I am in public doesn't mean that I want to be tracked by government all the time. The idea that FBI constantly knows where I am sounds Orwellian and unconstitutional to me.
