reading between the lines this sounds to me like an attempt to kill the bill the amendments were added to rather than sneak the amendments into an easy bill. seriously. the home secretary authorising every journey in and out of the UK with

I don't get it. Stick in the CentOS CD, click install, add the root user account and password And you're done. Server up and running. done about 20 of them in the last twelve months. What's all this "package" stuff

it's not a case of threatening anyone. they just pay them to include the additional primes in the public key system. users are still more or less secure. not just whatsapp. pretty much all the public key systems use it. it's still

the way it works is quite straight forward. the rsa key is the product of 4 primes rather than two. two of which are known to the nsa. this shortens then rsa key length to 128 bits which is factored using a sieve on their hpc platform in a

that's exactly it. digital copying is a perfectly competitive zero marginal cost game. only immoral thieves IMHO are the monopolists who want to make society worse off by trying to enforce artificial and pointless barriers to that mark

It's not that I disagree, so much as I consider dropping auth completely to be pretty much a complete waste of time - it solves virtually none if not none of the problems. What would be a minimum imho is a "persistence" authe

Hmmm. I don't see the distinction. They are collecting a ton of data by a small army of corrupt proxy servers. Without authentication it's just like a new protocol. And hardly a challenge when we know they are already doing it on

I started this discussion quite some time ago. Thought it might be nice to throw it to the HN wolves. Any interest in updating on the latest data (it was made harder by them changing the data format and I never got around to it.)

But the whole point of the multi verse model is that universe also exists. Multi verse theory afaik is just a mathematical construct of the various dimensions we can observe in a space time framework. The whole http://en.m.wikipe

I don't see why this kills the multi verse theory. Which is a basic conclusion of a 10 dimensional space-time environment that doesn't include mass anyway.

the routing table is the same as now, just that the IPv4 address becomes the network which sub routes. IPv4 hardware doesn't need to care about sub routing. my point is with that notation, right now we have say a google address of 66.2

No, I'm not talking about tunneling, I'm saying natively route at the v4 level, and the header will be less, because +160bit addresses will only be used when required. so your routing table holds "66/4 port 1" ,&qu

because as I understand routing is still done from the MSB. So you leave the IPv4 existing infrastructure in place with no modification, but all those /32 addresses now become useful and all the existing IPv4 infrastructure and routing

From a host perspective it's a great security feature. you have a local address means your host cannot be contacted from the outside world. You want your host to have an IPv6 address, VPN into an IPv6 provider. The fact that demand for

Why not just have the first 32 bits of ipv6 as equivelent to ipv4 so the ipv6 address of 66.249.73.108 is 66.249.73.108:0
