And at the same time VRChat is reaching record popularity and user counts with tiny fraction of the budget Facebook wasted. And it is so simple - just listen to your users and give them what they want - which seems to be VR cat girls.

I think this is likely quite outdated by now - a lot of artillery is definitely still is use now, but there is also a very large gray zone dozens of kilometers around the front line where remote controlled UAVs (usually single use FPVs and

I think the Ukrainian Stugna & other ATGMs (not only with soviet heritage) use the rotation trick - you get some stabilization for free, might need less control surfaces and maybe even simpler sensors. IIRC in the Stugna case, they even

I think given the technology that has been shown - a massive space and planetary infrastructure base, torpedoes with torch drives armed with nukes that would make Teller blush - I don't think you can actually use Dinosaur killer astero

It only worked in the Expanse because they expertly choose a special trajectory that made the rocks hard to detect and some questionable (but plot necessary) "stealth coating". By this point UN and MCR have been in cold war for 10

Any realistic space warship design will need propellant - sure you can avoid ground based interceptors and kill sats but it will eat into your propellant reserves over time. You will need to replenish from somewhere & that somewhere mig

The story of Footfall is basically about that - and alien space invasion force with torch drive powered space battleship in orbit. There are ways to battle that - balistic missile submarines for one and then "Project Michael" whic

Yeah, they totally did not get it & burned a lot of money. They could basically just dumped a much less money into VRChat (or even 1:1 cloning it) and getting almost assured success.

Maybe this is just what realistic and maybe even sustainable AI investment looks like. Compared to the fever dreams playing out in the US.

Plastic is just hydrocarbos basically - hydrogen and carbon. You can totally synthetise it. Might just not be as cheap an convenient like making it from mined oil, at least initially.

Note that neither Ukraine or Russia have air supperiority. It would be much harder for IRGC to build and launch hundreds of drones with basically predators stalking the sky & strikes from manned jets availalbe on short order.

I am afriad thhe GPUs chips will be often useless (to power hungry, running too hot and needing too expensive accessories) but it might be possible to harvest the memory chips and put them on useful GPU cards.

I would be totally fine with all code generated by LLMs being considered to be under GPL v3 unless the model authors can prove without any doubt it was not trained on any GPL v3 code - viral licensing to the max. ;-)
