What an awful way of looking at things. So anything you do in the car is irrelevant to the outcomes and shouldn't be punished? Would you have said the same about DUI?

Case after case in the US has shown that all you need to do is claim it was an accident and you'll receive the most minor of slaps on the wrist.

"especially if the FBI is the one hunting" is very true. Even using TOR, I remember a college student who made a bomb threat over TOR to get out of a test and got caught because they were able to see the activity on the TOR networ

The VPN he was using honestly would have been fine to protect you from drag-net style surveillance, but he was specifically targeted by the FBI. By the time the FBI opens a case against you you're most likely totally fucked, regardless

I occasionally bike with one earbud in with just normal wired earbuds and tuck the other one into my shirt. What am I missing out on with wireless earbuds?

100% agree. And it's unfortunate that articles like this end up being the ones discussed, it actually hurts privacy discussions by moving the conversation away from your "This data could be better anonymized and published" to

Why don't you post links to every single social media account you own here? And then we can go through them all and see what we find, and then we'll store it for use later. Make sure you don't leave any out.

Can anything really be "Google-Fi exclusive"? Aren't Fi phones just phones that have radios for every US band and a Fi SIM card?

When people think of "urban planning" their minds often jump immediately to large-scale infrastructure changes or totally designed cities built from the ground up, but it's exactly these sorts of little things that are actual

Small and midsized US cities desperately need a small (or large) urban planning revolution. Cars are considered the "default" too often, especially in cities under half a million in population. It's these cities in particular
