But in France the wives get the husband's last name when they marry, so Maria Curia is not that inaccurate.

Hydroelectric depends too much on orography. Not all countries have waterfalls, and if they have, they could be in inaccessible regions where it is very costly to build, let alone transport.

Got lucky? I think the opposite: Chernobyl was unlucky. I mean, you're basically calling all these nuclear incidents "lucky". That doesn't statistically hold. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lists_of_n

Nuclear "waste" can actually be used as fuel again, we just need to research that technology. You still need a lot more plastic and rare earths for solar and wind compared with nuclear (per watt). I think solar and wind are a good

I think SQL is too verbose for use on the terminal. find + grep does the trick with way less verbose syntax (but also probably less readable). With that said, it is quite cool.

That Clojure code looks like what I would write: non-idiomatic and procedural. EDIT: greyrest's code looks more idiomatic and thus way shorter but still understandable.

I don't know what train you've ridden, but Spain's Ave goes 300 km/h and you don't even notice you're moving. And it definitely doesn't bump at all. You cannot notice constant speed but only speed changes

Mars atmosphere is far from being near-vacuum. Also if you have to extract air, the difference between how much air you have to extract is pretty much irrelevant.

I think a simple train would be much cheaper and effective for Mars.

Not a good analogy. One of the main Hyperloop points it is to have near vaccum inside the tubes, which will reduce air resistance and allow faster speeds, otherwise it's just a train inside a tube. This means they must be totally seale

Like I said in another comment: in Morocco 50% is for the actual cost and 50% is for bribes. This is how "makhzen" works. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Makhzen

Morocco has rivers and dams already. Geographically speaking it has almost everything, from sand desert to skiing stations. This is personal publicity for the King himself.

Highest end Android phones have usually better hardware than iPhones, and also they have their prices bloated just to look "luxury" like the iPhone.
