The first one was designed as a proof of concept that it would work at all, not really to be optimal for inference workloads. It just turns out that inference is easier.

It's a bacteria, so it causes an infection. Your body should be able to get rid of it by itself, but if it can't, the infection will grow and be fatal. It's not just in Malaysia, but typically these cases are rare so it being

I found Mistral Small 3.1, which released slightly after Gemma 3, much better. Much fewer refusals, more accurate, less babbling, generally better, but especially at coding.

For a country that was in poverty not long ago it's amazing. $318 in 1990 to $12k in 2025 is incredibly growth.

I'm not sure if this is what you mean, but LLaDA isn't block text diffusion. This is a mix between an autoregressive model and a diffusion model, which is brand new.

Only if you're constrained on connections. The reason that HTTP2 is much better for websites is because of the slow starts of TCP connections. If you're already connected, you don't suffer those losses, and you benefit from k

Just get OAK cameras from luxonis. If you want home surveillance, you can just tie a bunch to ethernet and they'll do on-device AI.

Some Stripe services are Rails. Having types helps, but it's not a necessity. When I was at Chime we faired very well with just rails and no types.

Rails can become a ball of mud as much as any other framework can. It's not the fastest language, but it's faster than a lot of dynamic languages. Other than the lack of native types, you can manage pretty large rails apps easily.

The hit on NVidia's stock price makes no sense to me. DeepSeek uses H100s and H800s. They'll likely have reasons to buy more now, and America will want to compete even harder, buying more chips. American companies are still way ah

Many people are missing this due to journalists completely missing the point when presenting these facts. Distilled models are nothing new.

That's a pretty terrible take. People who can use the 585B model will use the best model they can have. What DeepSeek really did was start an AI "space race" to AGI with China, and this race is running on Nvidia GPUs. Some ho

I don't think you're familiar with modern robotics. The central control plane is Ubuntu, but the boards for actuators and sensors are all microcontrollers on some kind of RTOS or FPGAs.

You don't need microservices to do this. It's actually easier deploying a monolith with internal dependencies than deploying microservices that depend on each other.

Can design and launch a software product that will scale to 100M reqs/day on pretty much unlimited infrastructure. It's also fintech, so there is no room for error.

SF/Seattle/Chicago We pay $400k base + bonus for L6, but around $270k for L4 RSUs bump that to $400k on the low end for L4 and $700k for L6. We don't pay FAANG level for sure, but the bar is lower.
