Yes, and we should encourage people to go in this direction instead of becoming influencers, Youtubers, and models. The West needs to start building again or it will become an extinct empire.

You... don't? You use Arduino for their super good support and documentation while you're building your device. It's only for prototypes. You can buy $4 boards off Aliexpress, but then you have to deal with poor documentation

You (usually) don't use an Arduino in production, you take the ATMEGA chip, or in this case an ESP32 and you make your own custom board from it.

They include incidents where the car has caused traffic disruption. Recently, people have been throwing cones on top of the cars causing them to stop and impede traffic. This includes SF city officials, which is wild. Look for #weekofcone o

It's kind of a middle ground, it looks more like a barebones MCU. RP2040's PIO is extremely limited with only 9 available instructions, this looks a bit more involved, but functionally it's very similar.

Tensorflow has some advantages, like being able to use tf-lite for embedded devices. JAX is amazing on the TPU, which AFAIK pytorch doesn't have great support for. I assume most people will still research in PyTorch, but then move it o

Mass production isn't the main issue. Production is actually quite simple, the issue is that it doesn't pass the 25 year lifespan test yet, but they're close.

You could always just use a library that simplifies Vulkan or keep some skeleton apps around. When you're past all of the verbose set up, the actual meat of it isn't too bad.

Not OP, but I'm very familiar with both. Luxonis is way more powerful and has an Intel VPU (Movidius). It's not really meant to be a standalone platform, so it needs a host board (Linux SBC like the Pi). It takes a lot more power,

That would break so many things that it would be insane to do. You could just run nginx as a separate user with very limited rights, or just run it on Docker. This, plus updating regularly usually fixes 90% of security issues.

It's very easy to set up a company in Canada. Taxes are an issue, but not that much more than CA or NY. The issue is that you'll get offers of 75k from angels and 500k from VCs. You go to SF, and before your pitch is done, you hav

H100s are now around 30k USD if you're lucky, going up to 40k on Ebay/Amazon. 3,584 GPUs at $30,000 is $104,550,000 USD only in GPUs.

Ya, there's a huge discrepancy of quality in their modules. Some module LDOs cap out at 500mA, but you need 800mA and proper bypass caps on the VDD for WiFi spikes. Good call on the Tantalum caps.

Arduino libraries don't all work on the ESP32, and some respond oddly vs an ATMEGA chip. Arduino framework on the ESP32 is an afterthought, it wasn't designed for it. I use the ESP IDF framework because it has so much better suppo

Arduino on ESP32 isn't the best. It works, but it has a bunch of missing features and sometimes acts oddly in the arduino ecosystem. I imagine they used the Ra4M1 for stability concerns.
