It's an app for churches (or any live performance) to display and manage lyrics. http://alpha.lyricscreen.com:6754/ I'm missing accounts and some of the more frilly features, like different fonts and backgrounds.

Yep! This is exactly what I'm hoping to build! I'm putting the source on GitHub shortly.

Lyrics are complicated due to copyrights I believe, but I will throw my awful MVP up on GitHub. There's a Dockerfile work-in-progress as well, but it seems I haven't committed it yet.

I have a home assistant setup that works great for me. Pretty easy to send push notifications that way.

Oh, wow! My little repo is mentioned at the bottom here: https://github.com/lukehsiao/netlify-ddns-rs It's very similar to yours, so I recommend you check it out!

I did something really similar to this! It's a tiny bash script and systemd-timer (like a cron job): https://github.com/lytedev/netlify-ddns

This sounds like everything I would want in a laptop!

Personally, I'm in a terminal anyways doing other things. tmux really enables me to compose things together really powerfully.

If you're particularly unix-y, nnn is really cool and composes really well.

So I live this idea, but what if I want to change something in the header across the whole site? I don't want to repeat myself.

Ignoring these guidelines can easily and quickly devolve into something that is tacky or even garish.

I stand quite corrected. Sorry, all!

This isn't true either, as the article says that builds went from 40 minutes to 30 minutes. The time spent cloning was presumably about 10 minutes and came down very far, presumably by 99%.

This reminds me of the TV show Halt and Catch Fire, which kind of portrays something similar!

I'm very interested in hearing about some specifics!

I know a dozen nurses making far less than six figures in the US. San Francisco and the Valley should be considered almost its own economy at this point.
