The more I learn about erlang, elixir, and all the pieces that make them tick, the more fascinating and appealing it all seems. It's also arguably my first deeper dive into a compiler and all the ways you can get it to go the extra mil

Is this really all the same COBOL application? I'm truly impressed! Is there some kind of GUI toolkit for COBOL or the COBOL in this case only the logic behind the application and the GUI here is another language/framework? I ask

The pretty text underline ( https://atomiks.github.io/30-seconds-of-css/#pretty-text-und... ) looks pretty awful on Chrome 63.0.3239.132 (Official Build) (64-bit). I like this!

That's maybe the point. It's very good. Looks good, feels good, and works well. It's a Show HN, which normally means provide critical feedback. If you have none, then it probably works well. Which it does!

At a first glance, it looks like it only handles heightmaps, while dwarf fortress is more voxel-esque. Interiors might not (currently) be handled by this program.

I thought the entire point was to have _cables_ that work everywhere, which is my preference. I think the ports themselves can and should do different things - even my USB-A ports on my laptop have little icons beside them indicating their

At least in the JavaScript world, this was a lovely thing to have. Now we have linters which are even better! Still nice to include this so that all collaborators don't need to modify their editors to jump in!
