Thinkpads are the only other computers I'll willingly use besides a Mac. I think they're the only other computer that actually feels like it's purposefully designed instead of just being a forgettable, reactionary me-too from terrible OEMs

Good ideas. I'm thinking a mailto/registration link that'll automatically link the user to the delegated twitter account would probably remove the abuse vector. Thanks for the suggestions!

It's rough. I hope there are open competitors that gain traction and are worth relocating to in the future. But for now I still like the platform over forced bidirectional communication platforms like Facebook. At the very least it's for fu

Hi, I made this in my free time because there wasn't really anything that let me delegate tweeting access without all the other junk to people. I envisioned it as something quick and handy for accepting submissions, etc.

Pretty terrible of Techcrunch to have a favorable article about it: http://techcrunch.com/2012/04/26/fashion-retail-and-styling-... That shit is poisonous to the startup sector, some people already think it's some kind of voodoo and this

A company still using an operating system released 10 years ago probably sees little merit in migrating to hosted email, calendars, etc. They most likely have an old Exchange system that they are maintaining alongside those XP workstations.

One data point doesn't mean it's a design flaw. Most people aren't going to take their MBP offroading, so why should they make compromises just to serve this small, but now vocal minority?

That's because sizeof is for the size of the variable (a char pointer), not the size of the string up to the null terminator, which is what strlen's for.

Another approach is to limit submissions via some manner. Metafilter still retains a similar level of content as it did when it started around 12 years ago, and they accomplished this by a) Requiring signups to pay $5 b) Maintaining strong,

I'd say six years of OS upgrades before being EOLed is a pretty good deal. That said, my primary machine at home is an 07 Macbook so I have a little bit of envy going on.
