It’s an interesting point but social media (especially X and Bluesky) is largely ephemeral content. If it goes away, what have you really lost? Hot takes? Running your own blog on your own domain is a good idea and anything long-form would

I've been using EmailOctopus to add an email list to my blog. It's pretty good! That said there's no monetization option so perhaps it's not a Substack alternative after all. I'll get my coat :)

Yep. Bought an M1 Max in 2021 and it still feels fast, battery lasts forever. I’m sure the M4 would be even quicker (Lightroom, for example) but there’s little reason to consider an upgrade any time soon.
