After using LLM in my own dev workflow, it feels that one developer can quite simply do more. Would it be realistic to expect a percentage based cull across the board? Is that what we're seeing?

It's interesting seeing this play out. I suppose ultimately, the market is fragmenting and Apple is aiming to pull and set levels to encourage as many developers as possible to stick with the current system. I suppose they're coun

If Apple are able to make the options that aren't beneficial to their business, less attractive .. isn't this just another example of profiteering?

Feels very much like a punitive charge to me. If that's the case, hopefully legislation will catch up.

You're talking about people who have committed crimes or fallen out of favour. You are!

Because keeping accounts isn't the same as keeping track of 'bad people'.

I do see your point, but it seems to me that you're trying to explain why capitalism isn't the problem. I don't think this is true. Think about the system you're describing. It makes a lot more sense until you introduce

I love Magnet and also paid for it. Coming from Linux to Mac, I _rarely_ pay for any kind of utility .. but I did here. Maybe that says something in itself. Subscriptions for desktop software sucks; but I can deal with yearly licenses .. as

The black book was basically an accounting book. Stop twisting history to suit a narrative you'd like to be true.

We're talking about subscription services. A huge number of these services won't actually even supply physical goods. Your argument isn't relevant here.

I don't think wearing black at funeral is signalling anything other than respect?

I appreciate your line of thinking. Yes some societies celebrate death and wear bright colours to 'mourn'. And yes, there are benefits associated. As to whether this is more or less of a concern than language usage; I'd argue

Looks interesting! I guess I still figure small things we can do to help redress the balance in terms of celebrating (rather than disparaging) blackness are worthwhile.

I get the point you made, but what I'm inferring is honestly a really simple concept. Let me flesh it out for you. Some words and phrases associate the concept of black with negativity for no good reason. Even in 2024 racism is a huge

If you were paying attention you'd notice I called the same poster a coward, for the same reason each time. I'm always astounded why people who are grievously offended—by being asked to be more considerate of people who have a har

Ultimately, we can only guess. The fact that there are more negative associations with 'black' in our language than 'white' seems more of a feature than a coincidence.

I understood the point you made, but I think you're maybe being a little deliberately obtuse (due to your tooth ache perhaps). Have a great day. Edit: I explained my reasoning here: > Why would you need to? .. it relates to the act

There's a logical reason for this. Our language was formed at a time where racism was more endemic. We now live in a society that endeavours to be less racist; but language hasn't caught up. .. what's your argument for not do

You'll hide behind a throwaway account though. If you disagree with making the world a better place in small ways that don't actually affect you, I have no time for you.

Why would you need to? .. it relates to the act of washing white paint over something. There's no logical reason for a negative list to be known as a 'blacklist' as far as I can tell? Ultimately, I don't think adjusting

Fair enough, I do see your point .. I just figure there are a lot of small things we can all do that cost virtually nothing that can help make the world a bit more equitable.

Some companies only sell to people who are financially struggling. And a great deal of these companies rely on people not being financially literate to make huge amounts of money. There's no inevitability to these systems. People make

It's not bizarre when you consider the lengths companies go to, to try convince those who can least afford it to make a purchase. The most vulnerable are used a fodder for a vast capitalist system.

Should we even bother with loaders? .. how can we load assets and carry out transactions that have async behaviour in another way? Maybe load in the background or show some other content while a long operation is taking place?

I agree. Taking an average view isn't useful at all, apart from maybe insinuating more people carry out jobs that are suitable for remote working.
