Ha, that brings me back trying to make Fabric.js somehow usable for a 3D viewport at a startup I was working at a while ago. (We used esm.js instead of WASM for the 3d engine, to give you an idea) It was a lot of wrangling and unexpected be

I always assumed that an event horizon was a necessary condition for hawking radiation (or the Unruh effect, for inertial frames). Interesting that this apparently isn't the case, and the authors rather predict all objects with mass to

I think it's the exact opposite, as they operate on a token-level, not a character level, which makes tasks like these harder for them. So they would generate a sentence with multiple e s in it and just proclaim that they didn't.

I'm also really happy with spec first. We're using openapi-generator[1] to generate types from a yaml schema (inverting the more standard approach of generating the yaml) in our Typescript (mostly Nest.js) backends, and export tho

From what I've heard I'm really happy that I never ventured too deep into the Arch forums. The wiki however was (is?) absolutely fantastic. I used it as a general-purpose Linux wiki before I even switched to Arch, I distinctly rem

Another advantage of using alias: `which [alias]` actually tells you what that alias is mapped to, and not just the location of a script in your bin folder.

Really liking the text-based lockfile. I know there's a way to get diffing locally via a `[diff "lockb"]`, `textconv = bun` git setting, but that's still 1. manual setup, and 2. not really webui friendly. Other stuff, li

Really looking forward to the federation, hosting Forgejo for my own stuff while having discoverability/issue tracking with other instances would be the best of both worlds. As of now I'm mirroring stuff across self-hosted forgejo

Shame that the extension doesn't seem to be compatible with Firefox on Android, since Reddit's mobile site is borderline unusable for displaying images, doubly so if you want to zoom/scroll them.

The CI/CD alone in Gitlab is light years ahead of what Github has to offer. I'm really hoping that they can hold on in some way or that the core open source application stays viable.

There actually is a way to test your test suite: mutation tests [1]. Basically, you change the covered codebase (invert an if statement, change a variable, etc.) and expect the tests to then fail. If the tests actually survive the mutations
