Do you own a BYD? It’s not that great. Build quality is subpar. Problem with investing in China is that once tech transfer ends, there’s no promise that these companies are capable of continued innovations. It’s basically an ecosystem depen

I am starting to think AMD is doing this on purpose and they have some secret handshake deal with Nvidia. Nvidia has at least two more years of “sellout at any price” market. Not because they have the best solution (which they do atm) but b

The fact that Epic remains the best available solution in healthcare is quite sad. That entire industry is rotten to the core.

I would clarify it as relative peace. People simply left other parts of the world to pursue their dreams. If Europe weren’t basically war torn every couple of decades all the way up to the end of WWII, America might not have made it this fa

Gonna state the obvious: freedom and peace. People mention money but money followed technological boom. And, yes, peace derived from military.

I agree with you. It’s definitely a big portion of the debt. However, Fed rate at current level is not sustainable. You can do the math and it simply would not work in the very near future. So you either let that play out or do something st

He’s (rather Bessent) literally crashing the economy in order to force the Fed to lower the rates. To be fair, a soft landing was a pipe dream. Bessent has a long history of talking about this type of reckoning.

First of all, I don’t like Trump. I’ve voted blue all my life. Having said that, Trump is the only one willing to play ball with the Chinese. And the US national debt is not sustainable at this level. Something has to break in order to brin

Vietnam already approached this admin hat in hand. Remember they are all politicians and they will do what it takes to remain in power. Having a global financial meltdown is a bluff. Some countries will play the game (smaller ones) and some

That’s fair. For Microsoft, I think they trailblazed on how to be a global tech monopoly. The dotcom companies (ie Amazon, Google, etc) all followed those footprints to dominate.

What’s cool about MSFT and APPLE is that there will never be another company like those two. They are true trailblazers in so many ways.

This sort of takeaway is from people who do not have experience in cutting edge. AI is developing at such a rapid pace right now. I’ve seen some amazing things in the past three months. I will say Apple AI completely sucks for a company wit

Just a hobbyist here but I’ve been using loop back on my RME interface for years. It was annoying…so this is a welcome addition and should speed up my AI music tools quite a bit.

Quick question for anyone subscribing to these services: what’s the cost in terms tokens? And is it competitive compared to running a local GPU rig if you exclude costs and time involved in upkeep (which I know is not negligible).
